Therapy is a collaborative process, not a one-size-fits-all experience. Your therapist will meet you where you are and tailor each session to your needs and goals.
We start by exploring what brought you here, what you hope for, and what support feels most helpful. Together, we create a plan that balances safety, structure, and flexibility so you can begin at your own pace.
Before your first session, please:
• Complete your intake forms through our secure client portal
• Review your Good Faith Estimate and payment details
• Test your telehealth link or confirm in-person directions
• Bring any questions, hopes, or hesitations to discuss openly
Sessions are typically 1 hour and are often weekly at the start, tapering as you gain confidence and stability. Each meeting is a mix of conversation, reflection, skill-building, and deeper work when ready.
For clients ready for focused, accelerated work, coeo offers EMDR and relational therapy intensives. These are extended sessions designed to help you move through stuck points, process trauma, and make meaningful shifts in a shorter timeframe. Intensives can stand alone or complement ongoing therapy.

Growth happens both inside and outside the therapy room. Your therapist may offer reflections, journal prompts, or small practices to help you integrate what you are learning. You can also check in briefly between sessions if something important comes up.

We operate as a private-pay practice, which means we choose to not bill insurance directly. Private pay aligns with our values and means we answer to you, not them. It means we can offer the personalized care you deserve. Longer sessions if needed, treatment plans that evolve with you, not with arbitrary session limits. No diagnoses weaponized in permanent records. No justifying your humanity to meet “medical necessity” criteria. Just real therapy, built around your actual needs.
We also provide superbills you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement, and help you navigate that process.

Reduced-Fee Options: We also hold a limited number of reduced-fee slots because we believe healing shouldn’t only be accessible to people with disposable income. If cost is a barrier, let’s talk. We’d rather work something out than have you go without the support you deserve. We also offer therapy with highly trained graduate interns at a reduced rate per session. This option provides more affordable access to care while offering interns strong clinical supervision and support.
